My Story:
Post collegiate water polo, I was in a bit of a post sport depression. I didn’t know anything besides sports as my exercise. I knew that I was supposed to be exercising, but had no idea where to start. It only took a few months before I had gained 15-20 pounds. My moods were worse, and my energy was low. I knew I had to do something. I made the strong commitment that I was going to spend 6 weeks EVERY morning at the gym at 6 am. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but I was committed to showing up. After the 6 weeks I was visibly fitter, felt better, and had lost about 5 lbs, BUT I hated every minute of it. I knew it wasn’t sustainable. But the DAY I switched to trying CrossFit, the transformation was not only visible in my physique but echoed in my newfound yearning for fitness. At Oxnard|MVMNT, we strive to recreate this personalized, joyous, and result-driven experience for each one of our members.
