PRACTICAL
Observe 6 group classes

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR?
The New Coach: Already started coaching and feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you technically know your stuff but you always feel like you’re behind on seeing faults and giving effective cues. This is the program for you.
The Aspiring Coach: CrossFit has changed your life and you’re ready to take on a leadership role in your local gym, even if you’re not sure this will be a career path.
The CrossFit Enthusiast: Even if you don’t plan to start coaching right away, this program will deepen your knowledge of movement mechanics, technique, and CrossFit methodology. As a result you will become a better athlete.
SUGGESTED PREREQUISITES
There are no official prerequisites to participate in the Coaches Development Program, but the following will help you get the most out of the program:
A minimum of one year of CrossFit experience. A huge amount of the coaching process is learned through firsthand experience, and practicing what you preach will help you become an effective leader.
Be a good standing member of a local CrossFit gym for at least three months. This is particularly important if your intention is to coach at this same gym one day.

If your goal is to become a coach for Oxnard|MVMNT in Oxnard, California, (whether full-time, part-time, or as an occasional sub), you must complete this Coaches Development Program AND pass the CrossFit Level 1 Certificate Test >> AND apply for (and get hired for) the job.
Coaches Development Program is offered in person at the gym annually. In most cases, we will require that you complete CDP in this manner. Talk to Kolby if you feel your circumstance necessitates an exception (kolby@oxnardmvmnt.com)
